Sweet Pouch Swap - what I made!

Lots of you would have seen my pouch on flickr, instagram or facebook - I was pretty excited about it so I shared it before I sent it!

Yesterday it finally arrived in Oregon and now Nela is the proud owner, so I can share it on the blog!

I based my colour scheme on the piece of Echino fabric with the owl  - I have kept this scrap for ages and finally the right project came along! I used the quilt-as-you-go method to do the patchwork.

This is the other side of the pouch and I used some Echino fabric again, this time a scooter.

Goodies - I bought a selection of my favourites. From what I know, Cadbury chocolates are really hard to get in the US, so I included a Crunchie, Cherry Ripe, Time Out, Boost and a Caramello Koala. I also included a lovely block of milk chocolate from the Yarra Valley Chocolaterie - I thought something local and boutique would be nice to include.

I've had fun shopping at some of the Japanese Discount Stores that have popped up in Melbourne over the past couple of years - Daiso and Tokuya. They have such fun stuff and I bought some pretty notecards to include in the stash of goodies for Nela.

It was great fun to make and I'm so pleased that Nela likes it! Check out all the great pictures of everyone's pouches and recieved gifts in the instagram feed and flickr group.

Today I received my Sweet Pouch from Stacey - I love it - you can bet you will read all about it on the blog very soon!

  3. What a gorgeous pouch Ros (and project). I am sure she was thrilled to receive her gift in the mail. We will have to catch up soon to talk about new stores you have discovered. I don't know about Tokuya. Surely I have not been missing out on a great store that sells kitchen things??
